Thorns

Everything was black. That is the first thing that I remember. I had no idea how I had arrived here. Or even if I had arrived here at all. I didn't know if I was born – or even made – here. I didn't know if I had died and ended up here. All I knew was that I was here, and that it was black. But I wasn't the only thing that was here in this darkness. All around me were the thorns. Bushes of them; covering up much of what I could see. There were thorns upon thorns, thorns blanketing the ground, thorns reaching towards the sky – if the blackness could even have a sky – as if they were trying to escape from this bleak place.

Well, I'm an aspiring writer. I have started several novels but I have yet to get very close to finishing them. I draw a little, too!(badly). I love watching and critiquing movies, even though I don't get to go out and see them very often. I read some manga, but I really don't have too big of a collection myself. I'm also a gamer...my Gamertag on Xbox Live is Fleetfiend, though I don't get online all that much as of late. And more recently, I have developed a love affair for sprites and spriting. =D

As for my username: it was the name of the first novel I ever worked on. Got so close to finishing it.

Hello, DA-world. Been a while. I've been passively browsing the site, but as you can see, it's been ages since I have posted anything. I've been working on some projects, but I've decided against posting most of it, largely because I'm getting to the point of wanting to keep some of my more matured works so I might be able to publish them more successfully later. I know it's been a while since I've really done much here on DA, but I thought I would check in and let everyone know that I am very much alive! And though I haven't been posting much, I have been working on pixel and several writing projects, I just haven't been posting it here.
